Complicated things are a great opportunity

Hi,

It's a beautiful Monday and I spent most of my day tinkering with Google and meta ads.

The cool thing about Google and Meta ads is that it's complicated. At least - if you want to do them right.

Why is that cool?

Because most people will never go through the pain of learning how to run them properly.

I've been doing Google and Facebook ads for a long time now.

But I still remember how confusing and annoying it was to get started. 

But think about it - the higher the barrier to entry, the better of a source it usually is.

If it was easy and everyone could do it? Then the edge immediately erodes. Any possible advantage of doing it immediately disappears because the barrier to entry is literally: 'are you a human?'.

The good stuff is always hidden. It's always stored away somewhere. You have to go through the temple like Indiana Jones, dodge the traps, make sure you don't get hit by the giant stone ball or poison arrows.

And only then do you get the glorious reward.

So yeah, I basically spent my day being Indiana Jones.
